The pyramid is nickel-free and made of electroplated gold decorated with small crystals.

Electroplating helps to improve the surface properties of the product and increase its resistance to e.g. abrasion and corrosion, BUT the crystals still need to be used with some care as sharp claws can cause them to come off.
